Which theaters does Filmi cover?
199 AMC theaters in 11 major US metros: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington, DC, Dallas-Fort Worth, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Boston, Houston, the San Francisco Bay Area and Miami. Filmi doesn’t cover every AMC yet, or theaters outside the US.
How does Filmi count my savings?
It adds up what your logged tickets would have cost at face value, counting your own seat, then takes out the A-List fee for each month you saw a movie. The total is green when you came out ahead and red when the membership cost you more than it saved.
How often are seats checked?
On a schedule, up until the showtime starts. Showtimes coming up soon are checked most often, and ones further out less often. Alerts clear themselves shortly after the movie begins.
Does Filmi buy the tickets for me?
No. Filmi tells you when a seat opens and hands you off: Book on AMC opens AMC’s seat map for that showtime, and you book with AMC as usual.
Is it free?
Yes. There’s no paid tier, no ads and nothing locked behind a paywall. Profile has a tip jar, and tipping doesn’t unlock anything.
Do I need an account?
No. You can watch seats and log tickets without one. Creating an account with a verified email raises the limits, from 5 active alerts to 25 and from 1 favorite theater and saved seat map to 10 of each, and lets you sign in on another device.
Is there an Android app?
Not yet. Filmi is for iPhone only. Its beta is coming soon. It’s in beta through TestFlight, and isn’t on the public App Store yet. Android is coming later.

No. Filmi is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by AMC Theatres.
